Welcome to our online ordering platform! These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and services related to the ordering and delivery of platters and other food varieties ("Products"). By using this platform, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms.

  1. Ordering and Acceptance
    All orders must be placed via our official website or ordering platform.
    Orders must be placed at least 48 hours in advance unless otherwise stated.
    Receipt of an order confirmation constitutes acknowledgment of receipt only and does not amount to acceptance. The contract is only concluded when we issue a written acceptance or deliver the Products.
    We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion.
  2. Payment
    All prices are listed in Rands and include VAT unless stated otherwise.
    Payment must be made in full at the time of placing the order via our secure payment gateway.
    Orders will not be processed until full payment has been received and cleared.
    We reserve the right to adjust prices at any time prior to order acceptance.
    We do not store any credit card or payment details.
  3. Cancellations and Refunds
    Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled delivery or collection time.
    Cancellations made after this period will be subject to a cancellation fee or be non-refundable.
    Refunds, where granted at our discretion or in compliance with the Consumer Protection Act, will be processed within 7 working days via the original payment method, less any applicable administration cost.
    Due to the perishable nature of our Products, we reserve the right to refuse refunds for any reason once preparation has commenced.
  4. Delivery and Collection
    Delivery is available only in designated service areas and may attract an additional delivery fee.
    Delivery times are estimates only, and we shall not be liable for late or delayed delivery caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
    You are responsible for providing accurate delivery information. We are not liable for delays, failed delivery or losses resulting from incorrect details.
    Risk and ownership of Products transfer to you upon delivery or collection. We accept no liability for deterioration, spoilage, or misuse once the Products have been handed over.
    For collection, please arrive at the designated location and time specified in your order confirmation.
  5. Allergens and Dietary Information
    While we take food allergies seriously, our kitchen handles nuts, dairy, gluten, seafood, and other allergens.
    While we take reasonable steps to cater to allergies, we cannot guarantee that products will be 100% allergen-free.
    It is your responsibility to inform us of any dietary restrictions at the time of ordering.
    We accept no liability for allergic reactions or adverse consequences where such information was not expressly disclosed and acknowledged in writing.
  6. Product Availability and Substitutions
    All items are subject to availability.
    We reserve the right to substitute ingredients or products of equal or greater value if necessary, especially in cases of seasonal changes or supplier issues, without prior notice.
    We will notify you of any significant substitutions, which we deem, in our sole discretion, as material.
  7. Use of the Website
    You agree not to misuse this platform or engage in any activity that disrupts service or security.
    All content, images, and branding on the site are the intellectual property of Bidvest Catering Services and may not be copied or reused without written permission.
  8. Privacy Policy
    We are committed to protecting your privacy. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details on how your data is collected, processed, and safeguarded.
  9. Limitation of Liability
    We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages that may result from the use of our products or platform.
    Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific order in question.
    We do not accept liability for business losses (including loss of profit, contracts, goodwill, or opportunity).
  10. Force Majeure
    We are not liable for failure to perform obligations due to events beyond our control, including but not limited to strikes, power outages, pandemics, supplier shortages, natural disasters, or government restrictions.
  11. Governing Law
    These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa or the relevant jurisdiction, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
  12. Indemnity
    By using our services, you indemnify and hold Bidvest Catering Services harmless against any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising from:
    Your breach of these Terms;
    Your failure to provide accurate information; or
    Your misuse, incorrect storage, or negligent handling of the Products after delivery/collection.
  13. Amendments
    We reserve the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updates will be posted on our website with an updated “Last Updated” date, and continued use of our services will constitute acceptance of such changes.
  14. Complaints
    Complaints must be lodged with us in writing within 24 hours of delivery or collection of Products.
